Hi! I'm Lulu James.



I became interested in creating garments as a child, when my Granny taught me to knit and cross stitch. I made dresses for my dolls and teddies. I made my first dress aged 14, when I took GCSE Textiles and got my first sewing machine. 

 

I'm currently in my third year of Costume Production at Rose Bruford College. I chose this course because I didn't know what I wanted to do as a career, and I loved sewing and theatre. Although I continue to love creating costume, my experiences here have increased my interest and knowledge in Costume History. My aspiration is to be a fashion researcher for museums and books.
